What We Do

The 66 employees at the Ingham County 9-1-1 Central Dispatch Center provide direct access to public safety during an emergency for county residents and visitors.  Our staff works 24/7, 365 days a year to take calls and connect the public to police, fire, and/or emergency medical services (EMS) as quickly as possible.  Center staff assist not only with emergency 9-1-1 calls but also with non-emergency requests for service for county law enforcement agencies, so callers can get needed assistance even "when it's not an emergency".
